Private Sessions

Private Sessions

Our one-on-one Private Sessions offer the ultimate personalized Pilates experience. Working exclusively with a dedicated instructor, you'll receive focused attention on form and technique tailored specifically to your body, goals, and needs. Whether you're recovering from injury, seeking to address specific movement patterns, or simply prefer individual instruction, these customized sessions allow for deeper progression through the Classical Pilates method.

Semi-Private Sessions

This session is designed for two people with similar fitness goals.  It offers a more affordable option to a one-on-one session while still providing personalized attention and instruction. Also, exercising with a friend can provide accountability in a motivating and supportive environment.

FAQs

  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely is ideal. Form fitting attire like leggings or athletic pants and a fitted t-shirt or tank top work best as they allow instructors to see your alignment. Avoid loose or baggy clothing, zippers, and buttons. Pilates is practiced barefoot or in clean grip socks.

  • Just yourself! We provide all equipment and props needed for your practice. You may want to bring a water bottle and a small towel if you wish.

  • Absolutely! However, we require that you start with private one on one sessions or you may start in our Foundations Classes. These classes move at a slower pace so we can teach you the fundamentals of the Pilates’ exercises, introduce you to the terminology and show you  how to use the equipment. Our instructors are skilled at offering modifications and progressions to meet you exactly where you are in your fitness journey. We believe starting here is not only for your safety but will help you get the most out of your Pilates’ session.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your first session to complete any necessary paperwork and receive a brief orientation to our space and equipment. This also gives us time to discuss any injuries or concerns you may have.

  • We understand life happens! We request 24 hours' notice of cancellation for a private session and 12 hours notice for classes. Late cancellations or no-shows will be subject to our cancellation policy.

  • For optimal results, we recommend practicing 2-3 times per week. Consistent practice allows your body to build upon previous sessions and helps develop muscle memory. Even once a week will provide benefits!

  • Not at all! Pilates was actually developed by a man, Joseph Pilates, and is beneficial for everyone regardless of gender, age, or fitness level. We welcome all bodies in our studio.

  • Many clients find that Pilates helps with back pain by strengthening core muscles, improving posture, and creating better movement patterns. However, if you have a specific injury or condition, please consult your healthcare provider before beginning, and inform your instructor so they can provide appropriate modifications.

  • Classical Pilates follows Joseph Pilates' original method, exercises, and equipment designs. We maintain the integrity of his sequence and philosophy, focusing on full-body integration and precise technique rather than isolated exercises or contemporary adaptations.

  • While both practices promote mind-body connection, Pilates focuses more on core strength, spinal alignment, and controlled, precise movements. Pilates utilizes specialized equipment and emphasizes functional strength training, while yoga incorporates more flexibility, static poses, and often includes meditation and spiritual elements.

  • Yes! Private sessions are an excellent way to begin your Pilates journey. They provide personalized attention and allow our instructors to create a foundation customized to your specific needs before joining group classes.
